i have a 20gal with one convict what else could i put in there with him ive tried smaller convicts but he is too agressive
A fish store that I used to go to, one of the guys there, told me that you could take him out and put the new one in, maybe switch something around, then add the more aggressive one and it wouldn't act so aggressive because he would think he was in a new tank ... LOL ... Anyone else heard that?
i would imagine that he might no be as comfortable in the tank because something changed.
I cant imagine that would make him LESS aggressive though. I would think it would make him more. I dont have much experience with cichlids though
Jewel cichlid could possibly work but those two fish in my view,, would be all the fish you could keep in 20 gal and numerous caves would be needed .
How about a larger convict? Cichlids are fun, but aggressive. They are very territorialand like 1077 said, a few caves might help. Jewels are not as mean, but convicts usually aren't too bad either. My Angelsfish even nip each other at feeding time. Watch out for the red devils, lol.
I will probably try that i just gotta find one that is bigger all the ones locally are pretty small and would be killed i think but i will look. thanks
