Where to find lighting for 36 bow

Having a hell of a time finding a 30 (or 36 inch for a 46 bow) double bulb fluorescent strip/shop light. The handful that I've found have been $80.00 plus !! Which is insane IHMO.

Anyone know of a place to check around? or different solution? Besides suspending a 48 inch over it? I've browsed lowes, hopedepot, and the usualy fish equipment sites..

Is this online (the prices), or local? Might find less expensive online.

What is the tank length? If it is around 3-feet, you could go with a dual T8 using 30-inch tubes, or a single tube T5 using an HO tube.

Byron.

I was checking online. I almost buy EVERYTHING online. I almost ALWAYS find everything cheaper.. Plus I don't have to drive =D.

a 36 bow is 30L x 15D x 21H.. so 2 1/2 feet long.
My issue is that I couldn't really find any 30 or so inch fixtures. I was looking for the dual T8, and really couldn't find squat. I found one or two I think.. Both around $88.00. I didn't consider the single tube T5 HO. I'll check into that considering I know I saw HO's everywhere. Didn't notice if I saw any singles or 30 inches.

Thanks for the tip =D

What about dual T5 NO? ( not HO)

With NO tubes, fine, but HO would be too much. A T5 HO is roughly 1.5 times more light than the same size T8 in the same type [how the phosphors are made in the tube has a lot to do with intensity, which is why the Life-Glo is more intense than the cheaper GE].
