Please help i have no idea if my yellow swordtail is pregnant. My tank has been set up since beginning of jan. And over time she has gotten very fat. But i have no idea if she is pregnant or just growing. If she is what should i do to keep the babies. I am worried i wont be around when she has them which will give her a chance to eat them all.

If you want to save fry, you must have a place for them to grow up for several weeks. That sword might be pregnant, it is sometimes hard to tell because they don't swell up like so many other fish. For a high survival of swordtail fry I would get a dense clump of java moss like this one. This particular one is in a Heterandria formosa tank for the same reason, fry survival.
