Goldfish help!
 

Sorry if this in the wrong spot, I'm new here!

My girlfriend got me a goldfish for valentines day. She cycled it properly and I changed the water two days ago. I cycled the water properly and I noticed a white/red patch on his forehead. I figured he had gotten a scratch during transfer. I did some research on the internet and it turned out that it could become infected. I took all of the sharp objects out of the bowl and purchased and put in ~.7mL for a 3L bowl. I've been researching further and application directly to the fish is mentioned. Any thoughts on what else I could do to help him get better, or regarding direct application and how I would go about it?

please will you be able to tell me more about the tank that he is in.
how big is it.
what filter is in there.
how often you clean the water.
how much water you change.
do you use water conditioner.

I'm sorry for your loss. Goldfish don't really do well in bowls, though.
