Need more info. How large is the tank? How many watts of light? Type of fixture? How long do you leave the lights on? Do you add fertilizers? What type of plants? Watrer temp? When did you change bulbs? How long have you owned the plants? etc.

i'm not worried about that i was just wondering about color temperature in general 6700k is the right temp for aquatic plants right?

Yes. 6500k to 6700k. Sometimes 5500k works.
But you asked two questions in the original post... and to answer the first we need what WisFish asked.

sorry i only meant to ask one my plants look better today i think they were just adjusting i've had this tank going for a year the light was the only thing i changed but btw way the water temp is 79 i don't add fertilizer i overstock hahaha new bulb the plants are also as old as the tank i try to create a perfect biosphere i don't like to add any chemicals to the water at allll i don't even use dechorinator i go on behavior and the basis my tap water is 7.0 i put just enough shells for calcium carbonate to buffer a little and vwahla maintence free tank a 20 % water change once a month and all is good.. people obsess too much about the small stuff. you got plants enough rocks sand and shells to buffer the ph for the type of fish you have a well cycled tank and not overfeeding you might as well throw your test kit away. i have the pics of my healthy fish to prove it on another thread i posted "my amazon" i mean i'm generalizing obviously with salt water you have to test salinity but your basic fresh water tank which your tryin to keep around 7.0 there's no need to go nuts i'm sure everyone will hop on this and start talking about how many ppm their nitrite is but this works for both of my tanks i haven't lost a fish in 9 months the ones i did loose were jumpers... part of my thing is i alway leave tank tops open i mean the tops of rivers are open to the air why would people think a hood is benificial except for keeping the fish inside the tank lol
