Need help stocking my 55 gal freshwater tank

My 55 gal tank is about cycled and I am trying to figure out what I want to stock it with when it is all done. I know that I def want 2 Fancy Plecos (ones that only get to about 4") and 2 Gouramis and that is about as far as I have gotten. I also would like to know out of the fish that you suggest which should go in first and how far in between putting the new fish in, should I wait to add more?

I missed this post...are you still looking for stock suggestions?
As far as 4" plecos the only things that come to mind as far as plecos go would be a clown, bristlenose or rubber lipped pleco. Even then they grow larger than 4" but not anywhere near as big as their cousins. After my tank was cycled I added new fish at three week intervals.

Welcome Blondie!......For stocking suggestions to go along with gouramis and plecos.......You might want to look at giant danios, or some type tetra.......Maybe a small school of cardinals, or some other passive tetra (gold, white skirts, rummynose are just some suggestions), maybe a few cherry barbs........You could look into getting a small school of rainbows........When i set up a new tank i never put more than 5 fish in at one time and then i wait 2 or 3 weeks till i add more.........Its hard to be patient, but its the best way for your fish and your tank parameters to be stable..........Of the fish i listed, i would add the danios, then the cherry barbs, then the rainbows, and finally the tetras........This is just the way i would go about it.........some other members might have other ideas for you
