New Lyretail guppies!!!

Ok, so I just got back from Waldoes petstore (my lfs, that never has any good selection) and there were these 2 gorgious male lyretail guppies, I got them both, One is smaller with a spot on it and one is larger with a thin grey stripe. They are both orangish pink with white markings and bluish heads.. They are so amazing, and only 2.19!!!! Plus I bought a little red tailed shark. They are all yet to be named! It was really funny tho cuz ur supposed to be over 18 to get one there and my sister, who is 16 took me! http://www.guppies.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif <3<3 I'm sooooooooooo happy! I'll post pictures of them all later 2night, they all live in my newly cycled 10 gallon!!!!! ( no, the red tailed shark will be moved to a bigger tank soon :)

Sounds good. Oh, so you know, that place would be a LPS (pet store), not LFS. Not that it matters, though.

I would have *really* waited to add that shark. Like the last one in after ~4 months. How big is he?

Pics would be cool too.

Sounds great! :) I'll be looking forward to some pics. Good luck with them. :)

thanks! The shark is about an inch and a 4th right now, hes tiny! The same size as my not quite full grown guppies! I couldn't get any good pictures cuz the guppies r being so spastic! Tonight maybe they will be calmed down and I can get some decent pictures. at least I only have 3 1/4 inches of fish in there! :)

Yeah, give them time to settle in their new home and then maybe they'll let you get a picture of them. :)

Wow, he is small. Mine was just a little bigger when I purchased him.

Oh, live plants are extremely helpful for the feeding of these guys. They create algae, which is what they consume. I, to be honest, don;t think I ever saw him eat anything (without spitting flakes back out). I fed flakes, algae wafers, and shrimp pellets. I also had a tank FULL of hornwort and other live plants, with five pieces of driftwood and other decorations. He did great.

ok, thanks cody!! :) I named them!! (I name all m fishy friends)
the Red tailed shark's name is neville (like in harry potter... hes a cute little coward)
The guppies are flipper and skipper (skipper is small with a spot on his chest and tail, flipper is larger) I decided to wait on the zebra danios till I get the 29g..
