Turn air pump off at night

Hi,

I got a 20 gallon in my bedroom with just shrimps (35 RCS) and snails inside
I use an air pump (Fusion 700) with 2 dual sponge filters
I'd like to know if i can turn off the pump at night because it's a little noisy (11pm to 7am)
Will the shrimps be OK?
I do 30 to 40% water change per week and it's well planted
Thank you

Eric

Sorry can't edit my thread (no button!!!)
I just find out that at the lower setting the pump is quiet
so is it fine to run it like this at night?

Eric

Yes. I wouldn't do it with fish in the tank, just in case, but otherwise probably won't hurt. The sponge filters being in the tank will still be exposed to some oxygen without the water movement.
