how many fish can I have
In my 14 gallon biocube reef I only have a ocellaris.(my tank has been up 1 1/2 years) I would like to have a few more fish in the tank but I am unsure of how many fish that can be housed comfortably in 14 gallons. Some tell me that I can keep 4 nano fish, and the others tell me that I am pushing it with the one fish I already have.

I was thinking of adding a yellow watchman goby, waiting 3 months and then a bicolor psuedo as my final addition.

there is no concrete answer to this question. first, every fish will act differently in its own way. there are so many things you have to account for in saltwater. to start, fish will have territories, if not a directly territorial fish it will still have a spot that it feels comfort in and prob. not have an issue defending it as well as certain fish being compatible with others. then you have to consider the fishes complete potential size it will grow, the guideline that can somewhat apply in freshwater having 1 inch of fish per gallon is no where near accurate for saltwater. you also have to consider the oxygen content of the water. there is less oxygen in a saltwater tank so this comes into play. now subtract the amount of water displaced by the live rock you have and your with at most 10 gallons. IMO the clown is plenty and i personally wouldnt add anything else besides a goby. you could even get a pistol shrimp to pair up with the goby or even a cleaner shrimp makes a great addition to a tank. its better to have an understocked tank then an over stocked on esp. in a reef were we strive to keep 0-5ppm nitrates (with them closer to 0) im going to assume you dont have a protein skimmer on a small tank and no sump ( you didnt state otherwise ) so this makes things even harder to have more fish for the increased bioload. if i was in your shoes i wouldnt add anymore then 1 more fish, if even that.
time for an upgrade :-D
