Not Every Year... Don't know why it is that the three sporting events that I follow most, are not held every year! Number One - America's Cup races. The sheer beauty of the boats cutting through the water is an incredible sight. The tactics and teamwork make it one of the best events I can think of. Number Two - FIFA World Cup. Know matter where it's held, and what teams make it through, you gotta love it. Number Three - Olympics. Both the Summer and Winter games have something for every taste. For me, it's not about country, but watching athletes perform at their best. Unfortunately, these three only happen every 3 or 4 years. My excitement builds as the dates get closer... Anybody else have the same problem? 2009 just started and I'm 'Waiting for 2010' ! |
I'm not at all into football, so the Fifa World Cup doesn't do it for me. The Olympics though... I always look forward to that and the variety of sports shown. I don't watch it for any particular country either, but rather the sport itself. Will you be coming to the UK for 2012? I'm up in Scotland, but every time I travel down to London I can see more work has been done in preparation for it. I don't know if the American Cup races are shown here in the UK - somebody can correct me if I'm wrong :-) |
