Just wondering, what is the attraction of these little fish? it seems like everyone likes them, and i was just wondering what the appeal was... I am not against them, but i don't think they are the most amazing fish in the entire planet...
Not meaning to diss anyone in here. just was wondering what attracts you to these little fish?
They come in all shapes colors and sizes.
I personally love them because of their wide range of coloration.
no two fish are alike.
My faves are the variations of dwarf gourami =]
I love my two moonlight gourami as they have extremely long pelvic fins and they look like they are trying to 'slap' the ornaments ect. x
I can't speak, I'm obbsessed with all fish! lol
i love the pearl gouramis in my tank for their colour, and the way it shimmers depending
on the way the light catches them.
They also fill a niche that can be hard to fill in an aquarium: dedicated top-level swimmers. Sure, there are other examples of fish that stay at the top most of the time (some killies, African butterfly fish, hatchets, etc.) but gouramis fit better into community setups than many of the other options plus are more readily available.
"TRUE" ^ They totally work. I have large lotus' in a 50g so i get to see 4 different fihs on top each under his own leaf. I love the diversity of thier colors and shape. I have a gold a honey a powder blue and a neon blue.
