Flooding in Calgary

This is what we woke up to this morning....the zoo is flooded and they are talking about moving the big cats to the jail! Still raining :-( A lot of the smaller towns south of Calgary are completely flooded out...100,000 people evacuated in the city so far

How awful! I hope you and your family and friends are safe and don't get too affected by this. Hang in there.

Robin I am so sorry!! These pictures are mind boggling to say the least. The news is shocking to watch on TV. Please keep us posted on your situation when you can. I am sending you and your family a hug, which is really kind of useless to you right now but know that we are thinking of you and your family and pets!!

Thanks so much...we are OK, we live in a higher area of the city but everyone along the two rivers are not having a good time. One good thing, our Prime Minister is from Calgary so hopefully we should get a bit of help from the Federal government.

The sun has just come out so hopefully it will stay out for a time.....happy first day of summer:-?

hi Jackie....just realized you live in Ontario so you know who the PM is

Thanks for the kind words...pets are always a big concern to me (more than some people ha) but it seems there are quite a few shelters set up for just pets, so that's great...
