How does this sound?
I am setting up a 29 gal freshwater tank. I have 8 zebra danios, 2 white clouds and 2 corys that will be going in it. I want to add more color to the tank and more variety.
How does this sound for a final stocking:
6 white clouds
2 german (blue) rams
1 dwarf gourami
I had wanted to get an angelfish, but I don't know if it would work with the danios or not.
Any other suggestions on what to put in?
anyone??? comments, suggestions, ideas???
Angelfish will not fit in your tank unfortunately. Your stocking is otherwise fine.:) The only thing that bothers me is the temperature requirement. I find blue rams to thrive a lot in a temp of 27 or more(Celsius) but White Clouds are coldwater and you might get stuck to 24 wherein the rams tend to become sluggish if kept at that temp long-term.:shake:
i could get rid of the white clouds and add something else. what else would work?
I prefer diamonds and cardinals though. Emperors and penguins are fine although they do get a bit nippy but nothing worse than serpaes and tiger barbs.
If your budget allows, you can get 10-15 cardinals.
i just looked them up and love the cardinal tetras! I will plan on adding a group of them. thanks!
I am now going to be getting a baby black ratsnake later this month so the 29 gal tank will be turned into his cage. I am getting a 20 gal tank with him though so I will be turning that into a fishtank.
So now I need to figure out what all I can put in the 20 gal. I will have an aquaclear 50 filter on it and sand for substrate. I am using fake plants in it.
I have am putting my 8 danios and 2 corys in it. I will be adding 4 more corys to make a shoal of them. I want to add some cardinal tetras and something else, if possible. I figure at least 6 cardinals. How does this sound and could I fit something else in or would it be full already? If I put something else in I am thinking maybe a dwarf gourami???
