setting up the majestic lid?

Hi all,

I’ve recently bought a Monarch Majestic 30” metal hood, an Arcadia light controller & the Eheim Pro II 2026 for my aquarium.

I was wandering if anybody has set up the lighting in this hood plus the filter as I don’t know exactly how to put it together. Also can I use a 30” Freshwater lamp or does it need to be smaller?

If anybody has a picture of their setup with this lid that’ll be ideal.

Thanks.

It looks like a nice hood, but unfortunately, I'm unfamiliar with it. Regarding the bulb, typically a 30" lighting system will require a smaller bulb, so I doubt the 30" will fit into the lamp. You should be able to fit a 24" bulb or so in the hood.

Maybe if you could provide more detailed pics, like a pic underneath the hood, the hood on the aquarium with it open, etc.

Thanks, I'll see if I can up some pics later on tonight.

Should I remove the condensation tray, or will it be fine with the heat from the lamp :? !!!

It should be fine. The removal of that tray will only put your light at risk of being broken by the water condensing on it.
