thinking of a GF tank, 20gal?

I had fancy goldfish when I was younger, I had them about 5 years. I have had a 20 gallon long tank that I found in the basement of my apartment building. (pretty sweet, right?) I have been planning on creating a fancy goldfish tank for awhile now, but I am not sure if a 20 gallon is big enough. I want to have a pair of lionhead goldfish. My original plans were a 55 gallon goldfish, but I don't have the space in my apartment with all of my other tanks taking up so much room.
If a 20 gallon long isnt big enough for 2 lionheads, got any other ideas for what I can do with it? (not saltwater)

From all I've read on goldfish they require 30 gl minimum per fish, plus excellent filtration as they are messy fish. There's another post here on ideas for a 20gl...really great ideas. I'm going to try to see if I can find that post.

What I've heard is 20 gallons for the first fish, 15 for each one after that. That's pretty much hearsay but it's all I've got. I would say that two big 6"+ fish in a 20L is probably a bad idea regardless of the breed.

Is a 20 gallon large enough for a couple of dwarf African clawed frogs and a couple of minnows?

african dwarf frogs or african clawed frogs? there is a big difference as the dwarfs are peaceful and the claws wouldnt hesitate to eat a fish as they get much bigger. what kind of minnows?

how about some zebra danios, and african dwarf frogs? You could even put in an angel with them! than thats it. if this interests you tell me! :)

I am referring to dwarf African clawed frogs. A 20 gallon is not big enough for even just one regular sized frog IMO. I had one for many years and he grew HUGE! Some danios would be nice, but I am not sure yet.

An angel? In a 20G? That will never work IMO. *Especially* not in a 20L.

How about a dwarf puffer tank? I know nothing about them, so I have plenty of research and reading to do about them if i do decide on them.

that would be nice! You could also put ottos with them after atleast 6 months of the tank up and running!
