Clown Pleco Can one clown pleco live in a 10 gallon? I read that the biggest the get is 3.5 inches, and they need a minimum of 5 gallons. Id this true? I didin't know there were plecos like this, but if the can, I would love to get one! |
You could probably keep one in a ten gallon, but there would need to be very few other fish and you would have to be diligent about water changes. |
If you have a ton of driftwood, vacuum the substrate every week, and want a pleco that hides all the time, then sure. |
oh, I was just wondering if it will thrive and it sounds like a no, so I wasn't really planning to anyway, just wondering. Thanks! I don't think I'm gonna get one! |
They are pretty cool looking, and have a cool personality when out. The downfall is that they are out in the open probably once every two weeks to every month (I saw mine in my 30G probably less than ten times in 5 or 6 months). |
maybe once I hve a bigger tank! :) |
