Brown Algae

I've had my tank going for a couple months now and it's pretty much fully stocked. I notice that there is increasing brown algae growing on everything. I'm wondering if I should get another algae eater to help with this - I've currently got a peppered cory and a bala shark. The tank is planted and I have the light that came with it on for 10 hours a day. Is this too long and what might be causing the increase of algae? It's also not anywhere near direct sunlight.

If I'm not mistaken, brown algae is common in new tanks and will go away. I had it for a couple of weeks and it disappeared as the bio filter matured.

I had brown algae for several months. It does go away but it will take time. If it becomes too objectionable a gentle wipe will remove it from most surfaces.
