New Fish and Plants
A few days ago I went and picked up some new fish. I added 3 Gold Barbs and 2 Ruby Red Barbs to my 29 gallon. I've tried Googling Ruby Red Barbs and got nothing that really looks like my fish, and nothing matching the name, so I'm wondering if I was given the wrong name and if anyone could sort that out for me. Since I got the new fish I've been thinking about trying live plants, so today I picked up some new lights, fertilizers and plants (which I was not given the name of). My LFS doesn't use co2 in their tanks and their plants seem to be getting along fine, so I'm not going to use co2 unless I find I absolutely have to. Anyways, here's some pics I took... don't mind the debris in the water, I just took out a bunch of fake plants that stirred it all up.

Ooooo...nice! I've seen those barbs on but I don't remember the name. You could check out what they have to say about them there. That piece of driftwood is AWESOME too!

Thanks! I'll have a look on there. My pleco and eel love that piece of driftwood too :)

Your tank looks great! Love the black substrate/plants/driftwood/fish...nice contrasting colors.
Any pics of your eel in the new set up?? :-)

Thanks! I don't have any of the eel right now, but I'll take some tonight for you :)

That would be great! Did you ever figure out what species of barb you added to the tank on your last trip to the LFS?

And no, still not sure about the barbs. The closest thing they have on are Albino Barbs, but they look nothing alike in person, these ones are bright pink and the Albinos at the LFS are very white haha. I'm not too worried about it though, just curious.
