crawdads or crayfish

do crawdads aka crayfish make good pets, like for a aquarium, theres a river at my house and there are big ole crayfish there, and i was wondering if i could put them in a tank,. like a 20 gallon one or are they two dirty, cuz i think they catch fish and eat them? any suggestions.

Don't put them with fish. And they might fight each other.

DON'T put them in your tank. Keep them only if you want a crawdad species only tank and even then they will kill each other. 10g min for one. 20g for two and so on. They will shread all live plants if you have them and shred any fish that comes into their path.

AND they will give your fingers a nasty pinch if you get too close while you're cleaning the tank.

They can be cool to keep if you want a species only tank, but they will wreak havoc in a community tank. If you want cool invertebrates consider shrimp.
