anyone know anything about african cichlids?? I don't but someone was going to give me one, and i was wonderin what some tankmates would be ok with it... (smallish tank, around 10g)

i would advise not to keep any africans in such a small tank.

Isn't a similar thread like the other one you made?

I wouldn't do anything in a 10G either. Maybe 2 Shelldwellers, but thats it.

ohhhhhhh I was thinking a Malawi golden cichlid, but if it'll be too large for my tank than I'll have to pass on the offer

You'd need at least a 20g high for just one fish, but they're definitely more interesting in a large mbuna community in a tank 75g or larger.
