New from Omaha, Nebraska

Hi everyone!

My name is Sakuda. I'm currently living in omaha, nebraska, but I grew up in California. :) Anyway. I began to become a fish fanatic when an ex-roommate of mine who has had various freshwater and saltwater tanks since i met him a few years ago, then we moved in together and his 75 gallon saltwater tank. I became fascinated with it, and after a trip to Chicago and the Chicago aquarium, I vowed when we got home I would start a fish tank.

He start me off with a free 20 gallon tank, stand, and handmade oak hood and light, and I was set. My original setup has since changed quite a bit, including a total overhaul after my guppies and mollies started having babies like crazy and I got overwhelmed.

so a few months ago, I started it up again after I'd been working at a petsmart since july. I am currently still using the same 20 gallon tank, and I now have 1 black molly, 1 spotted molly, 1 powder blue gourami, 1 rosy barb, 1 tiger barb, and a black rainbow shark and albino one. I really like the variety of the fish, and they all seem to get along well so far. Although I feel a little gipped, I of course bought the fish where I work from and, maybe what I've read so far is wrong, but it seems most people are of the consensus that two rainbow sharks should not be housed together. Of course, I didn't learn this until after the 2 week guarantee so I've kept them both, even though the albino hides behind the heater or filter tube until night time comes, because the black one picks on him.

ANYWAY, not to give my lifestory, just thought I'd say hi, and if there are any other Omaha fish enthusiasts, please hook me up! I am by no means any expert and I do have problems with my tank every once in awhile, would love to have a local friend to go to. :)
