Checking twice and got conflicting info on HILLSTREAM LOACH
The site i ordered from suggests a ph of 6.7 temp @ 72-80 yet another source; perhaps not as reliable, suggests ph 7-8 temp@ 68-75 both say a current or good water flow is necessary to promote oxyhenation. Which one do you know to be true? What a life span on these guys ay.
Gotta love the facts and opinions battle.
My recommended minimum is 68. They can thrive in there, just fine. It's not often warm in the area where they live. Maximum is 76. Any higher can lead to shorter lifespans. Average lifespan is 3-4 years. It depends whether your temperature can remain consistent throughout their lives or not. Summertime and power outages are your biggest woes.
My pH was 7.6 for the hillies and they were fine until the summer bleaks.
Thanks for that. Hope it wasnt too painful , they have puppy dog eyes in the pic i seen. Too cute . Sorry bout' yours.
