Feeder guppies as live food?

what do you think of feeder guppies as live food

onefish2fish 01-17-2009 02:33 PM

feeder fish=diseases

i prefer buying guppies and making a tank for them and raise my own fry. what are you feeding these to?

aquakid 01-17-2009 09:55 PM

Cichlids (but only one feeding like once a month twice occassionally) and reef inverts

what reef inverts?

the conditions feeder fish are kept under are horrible, i personally would raise my own

Ya, petstore ppl don't care if they carry diseese, ans this w=could be dangerous for the fish eating the guppies

Easiest and safest way is to make your own, as stated. Plus, guppies breed like no other and you would have a ton in a few months. You could even do convict fry if you wanted to.

And for the reef inverts, do you mean like a Mantis Shrimp or the like? Most of the inverts I know of that are carnivorous take other crustaceans over anything else.
