55gallon tank, with a 20g Long Sump?

I was wondering if anybody had this combo, or close to it? I have some questions for you if you do.

Had a 55g with a 20g high. That close enough?

SK small world bro, im the guy thats been emailing you about your stand :) you may be my hero again as I was going to build the stand you built, with the modified email and put a 20 long inside.

Anyways, questions :)

What type of piping did you use, and what size?

What size pump did you use, especially if your using the EXACT same stand, the reason i ask is im trying to get an idea of what my overflow (no holes in my tank) and my return pump (head loss) should be, and then what size pipe is best for the flow. Im looking for a GPH, if there is one you can recommend or you used with satisfaction

So if you could help me with any of this that would be great.

PVC pipe from a hardware store works great and i prevously PM'ed you about the pump and overflow.

I had a 700 gph reef ready tank with an Eheim 1260 pump. For an external overflow, Like we had on the 30g, I used a 600gph pond pump from Wal-Mart. For the plumbing, Ive found that the Clear vinyl hose with the Gray hose barbs from Lowe's offers the quietest operation. Still a little noisy tho.
