Live Rock Issue?

I Put LW in my FW in an attempt to grow more bacteria. But im worried that it will disolve in my tank making the water cloudy. Does that happen?

Live rock will not be "live" in freshwater (until freshwater bacteria establishes on it) If you buy saltwater live rock and add it to your tank the die off is going to create a nice spike in your parameters.
i suggest texas holey rock, river stones or base rock.

the Rock has brownish green/tan stuff growing on it looks like bacteria but what do i know :P

Also it was never in salt water.

Where did you get this rock from? I'd advise against putting any rock you find in a stream or lake into your tank.

Got it from LFS

Was it in a freshwater tank? The stuff you're seeing on the rock isn't beneficial bacteria (not that there isn't likely any on it) its algae most likely.

yeah, i took it out. Ill just start a 10 gallon reef tank with it.

Rock from freshwater and rock from saltwater are two totally different things.
