hole in the head?
 

i just now heard of a disease called hole in the head...and my largest opaline gourami has two tiny pores behind each eye. they appear to be symmetrical. are they sensory pits or signs of disease? he also seems to be exhibiting some fin rot and sluggishness which is being treated right now with fungus clear.

Can you post a picture and tank size and tank mates? Do you know the water paramterers? Such as pH, ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates.

i dont have a test kit for ammonia and stuff but i just changed the water yesterday. its hard to get a picture too its so minute and he wont hold still. they seem like sensory pores to me since theyre symmetrical on both sides...

its a 20 gallon tank with two plecos in it and 3 other gouramis. the one in question is about 4 inches. There is a 3 inch one and two babies at two inches. his fins dont have any white stuff but look darker at the tips...kinda like a diseased yellowish black color. i medicated the tank and they are all much more active now though i hope it solves it because the plecos have started getting ragged fins too
