How do I clean this?

I accidentally knocked at least half a jar of flake food into my 16g tank, which thankfully has no fish in it as I'm prepping it for restocking after ich decimated. It's got eco complete substrate, plants and snails at the moment, but I can't leave all that food in there as the fish are coming in tomorrow.

I know eco complete can't really be vacuumed because it's so light and I tried to get the biggest pieces up with a turkey baster, but there is food EVERYWHERE in this tank now.

Any suggestions on how to best clean this in time for the fish? Stir it up and do a water change? Hope the filter catches most of it? I need a solution to this.

Can use gravel vaccum just over the surface, and then after vaccuming, perform 60 to 70 % water change.
I had eco-complete and did not lose much while vaccuming unless I shoved the vaccum down in the substrate.
Considering this just happened?,,,the food should still be on top, so no aggressive vaccuming is needed.
