I watched my Red Eye Tetra smash it's face into the glass...

I watched one of my red eye's run right into the glass really hard when I transferred it from my QT into my 32g. Now It has a white mark on the front of his face (not ick or anything like that, I just QT'd him and didn't see the mark until now)

Could this be like a bruise or something? It's not bleeding or anything and a chunk doesn't look taken out and it doesn't look "dented in" or anything....

He is acting normal and swimming normal, but with a mark on it's face.. Should I be worried?
Has anyone's fish had a bruise before and then it went away?

Thank you very much!!

No, ive never had a bruised fish but i had an angel fish kill him self from raming the glass cause he saw his reflection. and ive had a Silver Dollar Actualy Dent in its face. And still live.

My dumb tinfoil barbs are always getting startled and run into the glass. They get some white scrape marks that quickly heal up on there own. Probably not a problem, just give him a few days to heal up.

might wana dose the tank with some Antibacterial fish remedy just to help prevent infection and fight off any deise.

it Rapidly repairs damaged fins, ulcers and open wounds. and promotes regrowth of damaged tissue and fines.

Melafix is what i use. and has been Proven to me that it Helps alot when fish get injured or sick.

Hurrah!

Hurrah!
The mark on my Red Eye's face is starting to get smaller... I'm going to guess that it was an injury from smacking the glass real hard.
