Amano shrimp are expecting

Just discovered my Amano shrimp might have babies. Pretty cool. But now what?

I have Amano shrimp that often carry eggs. Bad news is they need to release the eggs in salt water. Once the babies are born they find their way back to fresh water. Breeding Amano shrimp in captivity is almost near impossible.

thanks for your post

I did some research last night after I noticed that they were with eggs and also read the same thing you had posted. Yes, I think you are right, it would be too much of a pain to try to buplicate that like mama nature. Plus I don't have the room and all the extra tanks to even attempt that sort of challenge. Thank you so much for your help. Have a great day. Mikey.
