IDing a Pleco
Hey guys I attatched some pictures of the new pleco, sorry they are kinda bad my camera kinda sucks haha, I just picked it up at the LFS and im just not quite sure what species he is, i have some ideas but I wanted to see if they matched with other peoples so give me your input, hes brown with some tanish stripes and then his strips turn into small blotches on his face, thanks for your help
It's too bad the pics are blurry. Is there anyway to get some clearer ones taken? I couldn't begin to hazard a guess based on these pics. What are your thoughts on the ID??
Kind of hard to tell with the blurry pictures, but he looks like a clown pleco to me. Should stay under 5" and needs driftwood in his diet. These can be very lazy fish, so don't expect to see a whole lot of him.
Looks like a Clown to me too. Maybe a bit skinny as well. As batman said, you need driftwood in their diet to keep them healthy, as well as algae wafers and shrimp pellets, or the like. Mine never got past 3" in 1 year, so they either grow very slow or are just small.
