1/2 WPG. Moving up. I Need help
I have a 30 gallon tall tank and only a 15 watt aqua-glo. I'd like to have a moderately planted tank. Any suggestions how to get the 3 WPG needed for under $50? Thank you.
sell one of the 3 guitars.
no seriously. how do you play all three..
but seriously seriously do you know what kind of plants you wish to keep? that tank looks deep so that may be a issue as to having a lack in light penetration
yah, sell a guitar, then yuo will have somemoney to spend on your tank
But, I'd be happy with a few low light plants like these.
well you can always search on www.craigslist.com for people breaking down tanks and selling equipment
i dont think your going to get any top end lighting for $50 but you can prob. add another used flouresant light fixture or two and replace the bulbs with full spectrum 6500k bulbs.
the biggest problem though is the depth of that tank, it looks deep to me, so any short plants down on the substrate are going to have problems recieving light, tall plants like anarchis shouldnt have a problem.
Go to home depot or a similar store and buy a lighting fixture, then just buy the bulbs that you need (6700K is what is recommended). That should end up within your price range.
