Why do we not do this decreasing from 1000 and using only prime numbers?


Short story:

Many years ago I had been in Austin, TX meeting with the staff of what is now known as the TCEQ (Texas Commission for Environmental Quality).

On the way home a DPS (state cop) officer pulled me over (just outside of Brady which is 80 miles from San Angelo) for a right brake light being out (had gone out in Austin).

I explained this to him and he was satisfied but for some reason thought that I had been "drinking and driving" (I had not).

He asked me to count from 100 "backwards".

I asked him if wanted all numbers or only the prime numbers??

He then asked me (paraphrased after "all of these years") "to please get back in my suburban, get home and get the brake light fixed"!!!
