75 Gallon Freshwater Filtration
I'm in the process of setting up a 75 gallon freshwater tank. Will a Eheim Professional II 2028 be sufficient filtration for a tank that won't have a super heavy fish load or should I add additional filtration? I'm beginning to question myself whether it will be enough. If more makes sense, any recommendations for the additional filtration: another canister, HOB? I appreciate your advice and I know the fish will.
That filter should work fine with a 75 gal tank under a normal fish load. I've heard the filer should turn the tank water over 3-5 times per hour per gallon. This filter would turn the water over about 3.7 times per hour.
The water turnover rate is less important than the media volume in the filter. If the canister is roomy, it will be fine at 3.7
Thanks for your advice; I appreciate it!
