Do kribs need soft water?

The ph of my water is about 7.4. Would that be okay for breeding kribs, or would I need to soften the water?

They will breed in almost anything. Mine did in a pH of 6.4, but I have heard of success anywhere from 5.5-*almost* 8.0.

mine is 7.5-8.0 and my kribs are breeding fine

My krobs bred in my tank with a pH of 7.8 and 15 degrees of hardness.
