What Kind OF FIsh? What kinds of fish can I put in with my Koi? |
You said you have a 20G Tank, IE Quote:

Ok, your saying that there is not any room for anything else in the 20g with my 6-8 inch baby Koi? He's only a baby... |
6-8" is still very large for a 20G tank. I still would add nothing else until the Koi himself gets a proper home. |
My Koi has a new friend. |
What is it? |
A 55g is big enough for anything. That's still a baby. |
You just said you had a 20G tank. Where did the 55 come into the picture? I hate to sound mean, but you should listen to some of the advice you are given and do what is best for the care of your fish. And a 55 is not big enough for everything. |
If u had a bigger tank i would say to add a large goldfish or 2. |
In the proper environment, I would say any large coldwater fish would make good companions for koi. Goldfish and channel cats would probably work well. Of course, this would have to be in a pond of several thousand gallons. It's recommended to have 1000 gallons per adult koi. A 6-8" koi should be in at least a 55g tank, and will need to be in a pond very soon. |
