I recently aquired a 135g tank that was previously used for fresh water. I purchased all equipment needed to start a salt water set-up...(sump system, protein skimmer, powerheads, heaters, etc...) My problem is this..... The tank was drilled, and the location of the bulkheads are in the dead middle of the tank.... looks like they were using undergravel filters previously.
I was thinking of using 90 degree PVC fittings under the sand to bring everything to the back of the tank....but then what??? New to this and not quite sure how to proceed... Thank you in advance for any help with this.

NO!!!!

if your pump fails = DISASTER!!!

sorry i missed this too, but an option would be to set up a "closed loop"

absolutely right. It was drilled for just that reason. I've never used one before, so i can't assist too much.

lol.... kept checking for a response over the first couple of weeks and figured i was screwed!!! well the project was put on hold for a while due to finances but i am ready to get back to it. So.... my only options would be a closed loop system? I think i may have to hire a professional for this!!! i have no clue how to begin.
