White Cloud Mountain Minnow Survival
Ive done alot of resesarch on these fish and one thing ive learned as that they are very hardy. im about to go but about 5 of them to add to my 10 gallon tank but I also learned that they like colder water of about 72 degrees F. My tank is always between 75-82 degrees F. WOuld thrive in these temperatures? Thank you
yes i have had much success with these in the past. they did fine at 75 but dont push them too far up the scale. in china they survive down to 39 so they wont mind a degree or two above natural. also if you ever have a problem with planarian worms, these guys will mow them down relentlessly.
i have had 5 White Clouds in my 50gal community tank for several months now with the temp between 80 and 82 and they are all doing fine.
White Clouds are my fav fish. The famous hardiness of white clouds is going to be tested here pretty soon. I went ahead and ordered 20 to put in my new (1 week old) 55g.
My water is like infinity hardness and alkaline from the tap, the tank is new, the plants have only been in 2 days, I keep the tank at room temp with no heater (68+-), and it's a ugf... if they can survive that then they deserve the rep for being hardy, no doubt.
