Funus Clear for swimbladder? I believe my goldfish has swimbladder disease. He has had this problem for months now. When he wants to swim he can. While sleeping, sometimes he floats, other times he sinks. Always upsidedown. On the float days, he pens himself under a plant to stay underwater. He already gets a pea a day.I have read Jungle Labs fungus Clear will help with swimbladder. Has anyone tried it? How well did it work? |
I have a box of Fungus Clear and it says that it treats septicemia, fin, tail and mouth rot, fungus, clamped fins and dropsy. I have never heard that it will help swimbladder disorder. |
I did not think they made any meds for swimbladder. I got a new Doctors Foster and Smith catalog, and swimbladder was listed along with other uses for Fungus Clear. |
Overfeeding and constipation are the most common causes of swimbladder disorder, although several other things can cause it too.You could try fasting him for a few days, then go back to trying the pea. |
When developed the problem, I cut him way back on food. Think most of his problem comes with his shape. He is quit short and round, a little on the ugle side. He was tiny fellow when i got him, did not know what he was going to grow into. |
Yeah, it could just be a physical defect that he'll just have to live with, poor little guy. |
