When To Move Prego Platy Into Breeding Trap Need to Know ASAP Please
I have a pregnant platy. She is fat and her gravid spot is very visible. She is hiding a lot and when she comes out she is "gasping for air" continuously. Is there a tell-tale sign when a platy is right ready to give birth? I have read that the "gasping for air" thing could be.
I would move her if you feel like she will give birt h today or tomorrow which it sounds like she will.
I know with guppies their bellies take on a squarish shape right before they drop. I am guessing it is the same with all livebearers.
The squaring up is not the same with all livebearers but is true of platies and the more common livebearers.
