Get the kids interested
I have been busy lately so I have not been on as much as I would like to. My wife is a teacher and asked if I would set up one of my spare tanks in her classroom. Since I used to breed fish I have about (30) 20 gal longs that I am not using . Word of mouth and so far I have put 20 tanks in classrooms, with instructions . The kids save up the money to buy fish, and really get a thrill out of it. Yes I gave a list of hardy fish they could buy, as well as proper feeding and cleaning of tanks. I will keep the fish over the summer time at my house. I just thought if anyone else had spare tanks they could also get kids in their area interested in the hobby. Since I have so many tanks I am not using I thought I would put them to good use

I just wanted to say how how wonderful I think it is that you are doing this! My son got my entire family "into" fish about 8 months ago because he won an essay contest in class so he got to take home the class "pet" at the end of the school year. The "pet" was a fantail goldfish. You are giving the kids a great learning experience! Kudos to you! Awesome!

This is such a good idea!! I never thought about doing that.... My sisters are still in elementary school so many I could talk to some of their teachers and see if they are interested in that.

I think its a great idea, too. It helps to teach kids responsibility.
