Problem with New Light Bulb

I just got a new light bulb for my tank and it is loud. I have tried wiggling it. The light isn't flickering or anything. Any ideas?

The light bulb is loud????? Hehe, I think I get what you mean. It's not the light bulb... It's probably your lighting fixture, reacting to the quality of the light bulb. I am not implying it is a crap light bulb, merely that your fixture might be having trouble running it...

What size fixture do you have?
What type of lighting is it?
How long have you had the fixture, and the bulb?
Has the lighting fixture got a little knob on it, that you can turn?(would be a t8 fixture then)
Anyone else feel free to ask questions to help get to the bottom of this...

Kind Regards,
Nicholas.

It is a 15 inch bulb
14 watt
T8
8000K
Made by All Glass

The fixture is fairly old. I got the tank used about 7 months and never really used the light because the previous bulb didn't really work. The old bulb was not bright and seemed to only throw off a blue color. When I had the old bulb in the fixture did not make this noise.

Probably best to get rid of the fixture. If it is old and making a "crackling noise"? then it is in bad shape and dangerous.

Not crackling, more high pitched. It seemed to die down in intensity. I am going to turn it on again tonight and see what it does. If it's more of the same then I will get a new fixture
