Lots of questions

Labidochromis Do they come in blue too? I have 2 blues with the same marking as my yellows. One is dark blue ane is a lighter blue. Ok another thing is I have a 75 gallon tank I have two of these blues two of the yellow Labidochromis. 2 Auratus, a peacock, and what I think is a jelly bean cichlid. Am I ok or do you think its too overstocked? And will everything I have in there go alright togather?

Your 75 gallons is not overstocked. More like a bit understocked. A picture will help to identify your labidochromis.:)
Your jellybean cichlid is probably a jellybean parrotfish which is unfortunately, fertile.:shake:

Yes there are blue labidichromis. The most notable are yellow with black finnage. There is a subspecies that have blue finnage. Rather rare though. Nix the jellybean, neat fish, but it is a mutt--a hybrid.

Best guess on the blues - socolofi - used to psuedotropheus. Hard telling the genus name now. I think the powers that be re-identify fish every other Thursday just to keep us on our toes. Before they were called socolofi they were called pidonis(pin-don-i). Go figure.

I agree.:) Parrots are just sick.:shake: I have seen blood parrots which could rarely even close their mouths.:blink: Dyeing and producing of hybrids should be banned.

no its not a parrot there is a pic of one I found on another site I will get a pic og mine maybe tomorrow if I can.

this isnt or is it? If it is Im a little ticked becaust I stressed to the man I only wanted natural fish. Not died or man made.

Your lfs will never tell you anything about dyed fish and hybrids.:dunno: I strongly resent the laws allowing the legality of dyeing.:sarcastic:

Dang it so now what do I do now? I hate to just take it back. I like him and all I just didnt want to contrbuite to that kind of stuff. I know I should have done my reserch and all first but I trusted him. :( Guess I learnd the hard way. I'm so disapointed.........The over stocking thing so I can still get more fish? I thought it was like 10 gallons a fish!

Be sure to provide your tank with more hiding places. Your auratus are quite belligerent and can be troublesome. Ensure the rockwork is secured. Auratus are maybe small but are far too destructive.

I was told that some of your high quality labs will have a blue hue in the black fins, but considering i can't afford to get wild labs (range from $55-75/each! IF you can find wilds)
