First mammal to be declared extinct in 50 years

Rare White Dolphin of Yangtze River is now wiped out.:sob: :shake:
Sad fact and I hate to hear more animals getting extinct.:shake:

Busy ship traffic, overfishing and pollution are to blame for their extinction.:redmad:

Tis a very bad thing to hear of. The question is, what did China learn from this tragedy? Do they look at the causes and seek to remedy them before another species goes extinct? I doubt it. And there in lies the real tragedy. life gives us lessons like this all the time. If we do not learn from our mistakes, then the extinction of this animal is all for naught. If human beings continue down this path of ignorance, what will become of us?

problem is u have all these newly emerging super industrial nations...much like the US was years ago. these newer nations have not yet taken environmentalism into account. it will be a long time before we all play on the same lvel, and many animals will suffer this same fate. hopefully we can figure it all out before we stand alone on this earth!
