Water Test Results

Anyone shed some light for me on the latest results of my water testing?
I've been treating my tank for ich (high temp/salt method) and did my first water change (20%) after 10 days. For some curious reason I didn't test the tank water prior (not like me at all) and after the water change my results were:

Ph 7.8
Am .25
Trite .25
Trate .00

I was very concerned after this and almost performed another water change on the spot. Instead I went to bed with a fair amount of stress with the thought that my tank was on its way to crashing ....

The next morning I test and the results were:
Ph 7.8
Am 0
Trite 0
Trate .50

Why the change in results w/out me doing anything after the water change? The biological took care of it for me naturally as it should? Thanks- Kym

Am confused as to nitrates that went from 0 to 50 overnight?

Not 50 but 5.0, as in just getting a reading on the chart. This morning my results are exactly the same as yesterday morning:
Ph 7.8
Am 0
Trite 0
Trate 5.0 (not 50)

I'm assuming that based on these results that my tank is ok???
I'm still having my ich issue but I'll post about that issue over in the disease section. This ich thing is really starting to get me down....
