This is going to be a "show tank" for my living room so i would like monomorphic, colorful species........
right now im thinking 5 yellow labs, 15 demasoni, and 5 Ps. Acei..........would i be able to add a fourth species or would that be pushing it? also, i would like to have a few synos, ABN's or Clown Loaches..........
im not a cichlid person, but i do know clown loaches cant happen in a 75. they like shoals of 6+ and grow HUGE.
I would skip out on the pleco and loaches. Both prefer softer, more acidic water than you'll be keeping the cichlids in. The syno would probably be a good choice.
I think you'd be able to add a fourth species given you cut back on the number of Demasoni.
Hmm, that might work. Just be sure to avoid any fish that get really big and anything predatory as the Demasoni stay so small.
any suggestions on a fourth species?
You might be able to do peacocks. Electric yellow labs are some of the more docile mbuna, and since Demasoni are so small you could give it a shot.
