30 gallon freshwater communtiy?
 

hi I'm planning n starting a 30 gallon semi-aggressive tank.
so far i have 4 serpae tetras.
I'm planning on adding:
1 dwaf gourami
1 red tail shark
4 tiger barbs
3 Otto cats
I'm hopping that the Otto cats will stay out of the way of the other fish.
also is 4 TBs and 4 Serpae tetras enough to leave the others alone?
tell me what you think of my choises.

You'll need bigger groups than that, I think. You'll want at least six of the serpaes and the tiger barbs. Also, the barbs or serpaes might nip at the gourami so watch out for that.

Just keep in mind that oto cats really need a good amount of algae long term to thrive. They won't touch algae wafers, and it might take a while to acclimate them to romaine lettuce. While I have 2 myself and I adore them now, I wish I had known and got a small pleco that would at least munch on wafers if need be.
