sump tank

my stand is a quarter inch to small to fit a 20 high or a regular 15 gallon tank. Does any one have any ideas of another tank that would fit it?
The width on the inside of the stand is 24 inches and the depth is like 20.
Could i make my own out of plexiglass? I have the aps weldon # 16 acrilic glue and i just used it to repair my overflow and it is incredibly strong. I was thinking i could hold the sump together with that and seal it with silicon.
My requirements for the sump is it needs to have 450 gph runing through it, it needs to beable to acomidate a refugium containding cheato algea and needs to beable to house a protein skimmer.

You could easily build a very nice one of yoru own using Acrylic. Use the acrylic as it is easier to glue and looks nicer. You can buy 1/4" sheets at Hdepot but are expensive. You can look in your Yellow pages for plastic supply houses, wholesalers. Usually they have an area called "drops" which are leftovers from orders and are sold cheaply by the pound. All it takes is a few minute with a table saw and some quick clamps.

To add to what CRM you can also go to lowes and ask to see there scrape acrylic. They also sell it much cheaper.

trreherd thats what I did when I did the panels in my sump. Like CRM said a simple 12x14" square can close to $10, and thats not even for 1/4" sheets.
