Shipping Fish missed the delivery

I was wondering if I didn't get my fish on the first try. What are the chances of them surviving the second one?

lol. that sucks.

however, i do not understand the question...are they re-sending it or something?

I will be receiving it today. The delivery guy is trying again. So hopefully they will be ok.

Unfortunately, most live arrival guarantees only apply to the first delivery attempt. How the fish fared really depends on how well they were packed, how healthy they were in the first place, and how hardy the species of fish is.

I'm not sure about the fish, because I've never had a fish shipped to me... (seems like they would have a good chance of dying... but that's an un-substantiated opinion, not fact).

I'm replying to ask whether you had the fish shipped UPS or FED-EX? Typically these carriers have other options if you miss a delivery.
They should leave a sticky on your door, and if you read the whole thing you'll notice that you can call a # to get more options. If it's early enough in the day you can sometimes get the driver to stop by at a later time. If it's later in the day, say past 6:00pm, you should still call because they usually have pick up hours, where they will hold the package at the distribution center until like 9:00pm or you could pick it up first thing in the morning.

Another idea is when you buy it be sure that you, or someone else will be around all day the next day to be sure it is okay. Online retailers will not guarantee a fish that is not accepted right away with a signature (so they can track exactly what time you received the package so you can't wait before calling claiming dead livestock).

I'm also interested to see if your new fish made it safely, here's hopin!
