Haitian Anenome?????
 

anyone know anything about haitian anenome? this thing is retarted i think..the clown wont go near it and he got sucked into my power head...please let me know..thanks

Well first of all your clown will probably not go near it. These anemones are from the atlantic ocean. So naturally your clowns do not host in the anemone because the are from different parts of the world. Im not saying it wont happen because our clowns did. But it more than likey will not. And on the pwerhead note, he probably moved and that is why he got sucked up. Ours has done that before too. Just turn it off till he comes out. These anemones move ALL the time, the hardly ever stay still. So he may get sucked up it again.

I'll bet by saying it was sucked into the powerhead that it only exists in tiny pieces now. Cream of anemone soup.

Clowns are super picky about what anemones they host to. And those aren't cheap. Plan on a BTA or carpet but most are not set up to handle a carpet anemone.

I dont think i would ever get a carpet anemone. I hear those things have a nasy sting to them. BTA are my favorite.

Yes different clowns will host in different anmones, but I have 2 Ocellaris clownfish that are living in a haitian anenome. I know its rare but that has happened twice. The first one was a maroon clown.
