Can an Odessa Barb live w my happy betta and 5 tetras?
HI there, i have a 6g betta + 5 tetra tank. just inherited a 20 g tank with a gorgeous red odessa barb and a otocinclus catfish. Can i marry these two tanks? and if i get hte barb some other barb friends will they be able to live happily ever after?:-?
The Obessa Barb should not be kept in a tank this small. 20 gallons is not nearly large enough. I suggest trading the Odessa into your LFS for a more appropriate species.
An Obessa Barb should not be kept in the same aquarium because obessa barbs are semi aggressive and may harm the tetras and bite the fins of the beta. Obessa barbs should be kept in a 30 gallon aquarium anyways.
